Compliance with environmental standards is of great importance to the uvex group. Certified environmental management processes in accordance with ISO 14001 have been put in place at numerous production facilities and locations. An integral part of the entire uvex group strategy is also centred on an energy management system certified in accordance with ISO 50001. This ensures that the overall energy consumption at uvex group level is continually improved. However, that’s not all: the uvex safety group also verifies compliance with ISO standards at company locations in countries that have yet to put in place regulations of their own.

Note: As regulatory requirements for environmental and sustainability claims continue to evolve, we are further developing our sustainability communications. Products that were previously labeled “protecting planet” will be marketed under the new “responsible performance” labeling concept going forward. Both labels represent our commitment to considering environmental and social aspects in product development and manufacturing.
