protecting planet by becoming climate-neutral

The uvex group’s overarching aim in terms of sustainability is to eventually operate on a climate-neutral basis. For this reason, the uvex safety group has already switched some manufacturing procedures to CO2-neutral processes.

The Filtral group has, for example, been investing in the recognised climate protection initiative PROJECT TOGO. This is a reforestation project in Togo which has already managed to offset more than 5,500 tons of CO2 since 2012.

Note: As regulatory requirements for environmental and sustainability claims continue to evolve, we are further developing our sustainability communications. Products that were previously labeled “protecting planet” will be marketed under the new “responsible performance” labeling concept going forward. Both labels represent our commitment to considering environmental and social aspects in product development and manufacturing. Since the transition in our communications is taking place gradually, you may currently see both labels.
