uvex sports group: management go separate ways

Management change at UVEX SPORTS GROUP GmbH & Co. KG: The Fürth-based family-owned company with the brands uvex, ALPINA and HIPLOK and the previous uvex sports group management Christophe Weissenberger (CEO) and Dr Michael Dannhauser (CFO/COO) are going separate ways with immediate effect.

"We would like to thank the managing directors for their commitment and dedication over the last few years and especially in the last few months and wish them all the best for the future," says Michael Winter, Managing Partner of the uvex group. "We have achieved a lot in recent years, but in these challenging times we have not always been in agreement about the future direction of our brands and the organisation," said Michael Winter, explaining the decision. Christophe Weissenberger had been managing director/CEO of the uvex sports group since September 2016, Dr Michael Dannhauser (CFO/COO) since January 2019.

Tasks will initially be distributed on an interim basis
The uvex sports group management team will report personally to Michael Winter (CEO) and Georg Höfler (CFO/COO) of UVEX WINTER HOLDING GmbH & Co KG on an interim basis.

Search for successors
"We will search carefully for successors and will also consider internal candidates who already know our family business and its values well. We will allow us the necessary time," explains Michael Winter.
