With 143 starters on the winners' podium at the Fürth company run
The Fürth Company Run is a well-established highlight in the uvex group’s annual calendar, as the popular local event in Fürth perfectly combines sportsmanship and team spirit. On September 17, the time had come once again: the company run celebrated its 15th edition, featuring the familiar scenic route through the Wiesengrund and an attractive supporting program. The uvex group was right at the forefront, fielding one of the largest teams in the competition with 143 runners and walkers. This impressive turnout not only earned the protective equipment specialist plenty of applause for taking the top spot on the winners’ podium but also secured the coveted challenge trophy.
Together with over 1,500 participants from the region, uvex employees showed their sporting commitment on the six-kilometre route through the Rednitzgrund valley in Fürth. Once again, the group of companies took to the starting line with a large number of running enthusiasts. The mission of protecting people is not only the explicit claim of the innovative products and services offered by the protective equipment specialist, but also a lived responsibility towards its employees.
‘Just over 140 sports-loving uvex group employees – proudly competing in our shirts and cheering each other on as they run – demonstrate impressive team spirit. It's amazing!’ said Thomas Konetznick, Director of Human Resources, about the successful running event.
Marlene Brünnig achieved a particularly impressive sporting success, coming second in the women's competition with a time of 22:40 minutes, while Natalie Wöltinger secured third place with a time of 22:41 minutes.
