uvex group wins German Brand Award 2021 in gold

With its guiding principle of protecting people, the uvex group not only demonstrates top performance in the development of innovative products to protect people at work, in sport and in leisure. The family-owned company from Fürth is also constantly breaking new ground in its commitment as an attractive employer in the metropolitan region, as evidenced by its recent receipt of the prestigious German Brand Award in Gold. The German Design Council and the German Brand Institute recognized the uvex group employer brand in the category 'Excellence in Brand Strategy and Creation: Employer Branding Activities & Campaigns' for its successful digital recruiting activities.

Following the internal and external establishment of the uvex group employer brand in recent years, the successful leap to social media took place in 2019/2020. For this purpose, in addition to existing channels such as Xing and LinkedIn, the Instagram and Facebook channels were set up and played with different campaigns. The special feature: Concept and creative input are created completely in-house with the involvement of the company's own employees - for an authentic joint appearance. "The likeable and target group-oriented recruiting campaigns," according to the jury statement, "are well received not only by the digital public, but also by the workforce."

Michael Winter, managing partner of the uvex group, is pleased that the family-owned company, which he runs in the third generation, is now successfully scoring points as its own brand: "In recent years, we have consistently invested in strategic and, above all, credible employer branding. Whether it's award-winning products, unique manufacturing expertise, performance or design, the long-established company is ideally positioned in both its sports and leisure and occupational safety business segments. For example, the uvex sports group was also honored with one of the coveted German Brand Awards 2021 for its "wherever you ride" campaign. The list of awards presented in fiscal 2020/21 is long: for example, the uvex rise cycling helmet won the red dot design award 2021 for its special look and functionality. Winners in the occupational safety sector include the uvex i-5 and uvex megasonic safety eyewear (red dot Design Award 2020) and the uvex 1 business occupational safety shoe, which combines the protective function of a safety shoe with the fashionable versatility of a business shoe (German Design Award 2020).
