Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics: Congratulations from Fürth's Mayor Dr. Jung on the golden "Champions Edition
Athletes equipped by uvex won a total of 45 medals at the Winter Olympics in Beijing. 17 gold, 17 silver and 11 bronze medals - this is the successful balance of the uvex athletes, of which the Fürth family business is also very proud. In the disciplines of ski jumping, luge, alpine skiing, ski cross, Nordic combined and ski freestyle, 144 international uvex athletes relied on the ski helmets and ski goggles of the Franconian medium-sized company.
Fürth's mayor, Dr. Thomas Jung, personally congratulated the uvex group's managing partner, Michael Winter, on the company's highly successful participation in the Olympics. The distinctive gold-colored ski helmets and goggles are not only protective and safe, but also a real eye-catcher. Dr. Thomas Jung offered his congratulations, saying, "With this equipment, not only uvex stood on the winner's podium, but also the whole of Fürth."
Praise that Michael Winter, managing partner of the uvex group, is particularly pleased with. After all, the products of the "Champions Edition" incorporate the comprehensive manufacturing expertise of the family-owned company from Fürth. Each helmet is a one-off from uvex's own factories in Germany, FIS certified, approved by the IOC and painstakingly painted by hand using the airbrush process. The design is emblematic of the podium ambitions and is also a sign of the uvex brand's appreciation for the top performances of uvex athletes.
"Especially at a celebration of top sport like the Olympics, where top performances count, the safety of the athlete:s is becoming increasingly important," explains Michael Winter, managing partner of the uvex group. "We are all the more honored by the trust placed in our credo of protecting people."
