New COO at the uvex sports group
We would like to extend a warm welcome to commercial director Dr Michael Dannhauser in the new position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the uvex sports group. Alongside Christophe Weissenberger, he will form the division’s senior management team. A Doctor of Business Management, Dannhauser will assume management responsibility for the uvex sports group’s manufacturing plants in Germany and abroad in addition to overseeing the areas of Finance/Controlling, Operations and Processes.
Following the departure by mutual consent of our previous CFO in February 2018, our search for a successor has been deliberately focused on a COO. We are proud of our long-standing manufacturing expertise which makes our winter sports, cycling and equestrian products so safe and innovative.
The new position of COO is even more heavily orientated towards the increased demands on operational processes within and between our manufacturing plants as well as between the operational areas active along the entire value chain. In Dr Michael Dannhauser, uvex has an accomplished commercial director on board. With wide-ranging experience and extensive expert knowledge, he is sure to be a huge asset. These are valuable qualities which will allow Dr Michael Dannhauser to introduce renewed impetus in his area of responsibility, with the result that further progress can be made in the uvex sports group’s efforts to improve process efficiency.
Dr Michael Dannhauser's most notable professional positions include roles at Rosenthal AG in Selb, the Raps Group in Kulmbach and W. Schillig, a furniture upholstery manufacturer in Ebersdorf, where he most recently held the position of CFO.
The ability to work as part of a team was particularly important to us. With his pleasant and down-to-earth demeanour, we are convinced that Dr Michael Dannhauser shares the uvex corporate and management values in full. We look forward to attaining the corporate goals defined by the uvex sports group and its respective uvex and ALPINA brands.
All the best in your new role Dr. Dannhauser!
