New COO strengthens the uvex sports group
With immediate effect, Dr. Michael Dannhauser has filled the new position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the uvex sports group as commercial director. Together with CEO Christophe Weissenberger, he forms the top management of the subgroup. Dr. Michael Dannhauser's responsibilities include the management and control of the uvex sports plants in and outside Germany as well as the areas of finance/controlling, operations and processes.
Following the amicable separation from the previous CFO in February 2018, the Fürth-based family company is deliberately appointing a COO as its successor. "We are proud of our many years of manufacturing expertise, which makes our products for winter, cycling and equestrian sports so safe and innovative," says Michael Winter, managing partner of the uvex group. "The new position of COO is even more strongly oriented towards the increased demands on operational processes in and between our production facilities and the functional areas involved in the value chain. In Dr. Michael Dannhauser, we have an experienced commercial director at our side who will provide new impetus in his area of responsibility and thus further advance the uvex sports group in the implementation of efficient processes".
Dr. Michael Dannhauser's most important professional stations include Rosenthal AG in Selb, the Raps Group in Kulmbach and W. Schillig Polstermöbelwerke in Ebersdorf, where he was last employed as commercial managing director. "To credibly implement the quality promise 'Made/Engineered in Germany' is a great challenge that uvex has mastered with flying colours for many decades," says Dr. Michael Dannhauser. "I look forward to actively supporting the uvex sports group in its mission of protecting people in the future."
